Desert NDT has been in the nondestructive testing business for more than 30 years. Our customers trust us because we provide solutions to their biggest challenges safely and with the highest levels of quality.
Desert NDT’s team of 500+ technicians and helpers, and fleet of more than 200 mobile darkroom trucks make us the US midstream market leader. We can position our people in accordance with a client’s project need, from a single truck call out to a large team for major pipeline projects.
Our in-house training programs assure the highest levels of radiation safety compliance and consistently high-quality film images. We also offer digital radiography for those customers seeking a transition to this new technology.
Desert NDT has developed Integrity Management (IM) programs to assist clients with PSM compliance at their gas processing and storage facilities. Desert NDT’s IM program managers partner with clients to understand their overall PSM compliance efforts and then establish a protocol for gathering field data points and managing trend data. Our IM technicians utilize visual, ultrasonic and other techniques to gather field data, which our support staff then orients with CAD drawings and database structures. Our support staff can develop and update databases using UltraPipe, PS AIM or PCMS systems.
Desert NDT offers comprehensive ultrasonic testing that can be delivered with, or independent from, our core X-Ray services. Our experienced technicians can perform complete ultrasonic services ranging from simple thickness measurement to complex shear wave and phased array.
Ultrasonic testing is a great option when access or in-service operations don’t permit X-Ray.
Desert NDT offers CWI welder testing at many of its branch locations, where clients can send new project welders for testing before they work on a project. Welder tests are also available at client field locations. Our CWIs can also assist clients in weld procedure development and project troubleshooting.
Our API inspectors hold 510, 570, 653, and other certifications to perform visual inspections and oversee programs. These inspectors have decades of experience with the unique aspects of upstream and midstream oil and gas assets.
